Michael Burden took my idea further with the following suggestion:

is that the Boot Code, GNAT Box Core, and Configuration
should be on the first disk, and the "optional" modules
on the 2nd disk.  That way, if someone just needs the
core GNAT Box functionality, it can run off one disk."

I think it is a great idea, and I hope that this is the path GTA decides to
follow.  I would love to see GNATbox continue to maintain simple hardware
requirements like this.  These simple hardware requirements played a big
part in my decision to go with GNATbox. (Not to mention the great
performance, high security and reasonable price!)

I agree with those who say hard drives are *not* the way to go -- especially
small, old ones that could fail at any time, either abruptly, or gradually
as bad sectors develop.  Sticking with simple floppy technology keeps
GNATbox reliable and very serviceable.
