For anyone wanting to use an NT box as a syslog server, I found a free
syslog daemon (err service) for NT ists located at www.netal.com/sl4nt03.htm

I written some perl and .CMD files to do daily file renames and weekly
prunes to keep the size of the log directory down. Source and details upon
request.

|Some other solutions:
|
| Try cygwin from Cygnus. This is a fairly comlete port of the GNU
|tools
|to Windows. The 'bash' shell has a good set of unix scripting tools {awk,
|sed, grep)
|and will run unix shell scripts. ( It's also FREE! )
