Hi, we also had problems printing from a unix server (SCO OpenServer 5) through Gnatbox to a printer outside the firewall, in another office.
We could ping the printer, etc, and we opened up the lpd ports. In the end we gave up and put them behind the firewall. We felt that we were missing some service, like an smnp port but could not be sure.
