as a backup though i block ALL incoming traffic from about 20 class A (yes A)networks. (now that really cut down on the crud coming in) steve -----Original Message----- From: Ed Hintz [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, May 30, 2002 5:20 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [gb-users] ISP allowing SPAM and VIRUS emails outbound. We've implemented the following 2 products on a gateway box and had great success blocking spam and viruses with them. I believe our all time record for spam blocking was 4700 messages in a 24 hr period, and we've probably gotten something like 20-30 inbound viruses/trojans/LookOut worms, whatever. Both are highly effective and 100% free. http://spamassassin.org/ http://www.impsec.org/email-tools/procmail-security.html Regards, Ed Hintz Network Systems Administrator Natus Medical, Inc.
