I tried to send this last week, but it seems to have got lost in the Christmas post!
I've now announced the new autobuilder packages site, so it is available for all. Because of this my original email that did not get through has been modified slightly rather than being repeated verbatum. This site will allow user to download application and library binaries either using RiscPkg from the RISC OS packaging project or directly from the website. (Extracting the application/library from the riscpkg zip is a simple operation for people who do not wish to use RiscPkg). When the licence specifies it, Source code will also be available on the website. The website is at www.riscos.info/packages. As my main interest is Games and the libraries to build them the site is biased in that direction at the moment. I intend to get a large selection of the programs from the old UPP website building and packaging for the new site. However it will take a while. If anyone has a program in the autobuilder that they want on the website earlier please let me know. If it is fetched from Debian and can be built on Cygwin it is trivial for me to add the new parts to the setvars script and build it and upload it. Actually if anyone has something from the UPP that they want built sooner rather than later, let me know and I'll have a look at it. I have checked in the programs/scripts required to build the website. Can anyone tell me if I need to do anything about copyright for the programs I've checked in? If I do nothing will if fall under the same copyright as the rest of the autobuilder? (which is OK by me).
