Issue 769: [Docs] Sync failing in Firefox and Chrome

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Reset the Docs offline Data
2. Reload Docs and hit the offline link
3. wait until Docs synced all files
4. Refresh Docs another time
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected:
The tooltips tells me last sync Nov 18th
current:
unavailable offline
After the first sync I see in Firefox Failed to update software for the
applications: authentication, Google Spreadsheets.
In Chrome Gears tells me Failed to update software for the applications:
authentication, Docs Home page, Google Documents, Google Spreadsheets.
The strange thing: In Firefox 3 my spreadsheets are offline available.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Vista SP 1 (admin)
Chrome 0.4.154.22 (with Gears 0.5.3.0)
Firefox 3.0.
Please provide any additional information below.
I had had that problem in May 2008, too. I was told by a Support, that it
was caused by my @googlemail.com address. I tried it with a not Gmail
Account and the offline Mode worked fine.
