G. grossmanni, along with the G. vittatus and Ptychozoon, normally lay 
their eggs in contact with the glass.  If a wood
terrarium is used, they will again be glued to the walls.  If the eggs are 
not laid in an elevated location, chances are very
high that the eggs are infertile.  There are always exceptions to this, and 
the exceptions almost always consist of some other arboreal location like 
the inside of cork tubes, bamboo, branches, vertically oriented slabs of 
bark, and I even know
a person who utilized a small man-made bird house (which was fastened to 
the side of the terrarium...Tokays laid all of their eggs in this).
