Hi,
I know that on the warm side that it should be in the upper 80s. I had one
of those dial thermometers resting on their hide box on the warm side. And
I would keep it around 88 or so. But then the other day I got this indoor/
outdoor thermometer. So I put the outdoor sensor *in* the hidebox where
they spend most of their day. The temp was only like 70 or so. So when I
let it get to 86-88 *in* the hide box, it is 110-115 *on* the hide box.
The hide box is one of those black plastic ones that is kinda high so it's
not touching their backs. Probably 2-2.5 inches from their back. So now I
have a delima. Which temp should I go by? The one that's in the hide box
with them? They have another hide box on the cool end and one will be in
there sometimes while the other is in the hot one. So I can't tell just by
watching which location they stay in what temp is best. Before I increased
the heat they were always cold feeling. Now they are cool but not hot.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Andrea
