I've never added any wax to the mix, just used it plain. Even though I live in
the city, there are deer in the greenbelt marsh behind my house. All they ever
attack are my shrubs in winter, so that's no problem. I do however have a
peregrine falcon who claims my part of town as his territory. He has been seen
giving the chameleons a good look, but I used 1/4 galvanized mesh, and 2x4
frames. so that's pretty safe. Since Uroplatus are nocturnal, I would only have
to worry about them attracting the racoons and skunks that live under the shed
or in the sewers.
I suppose I could build a large walk-in cage around my azaleas, and suspend
smaller, well planted wire mesh cages inside for the uros? Anyone who digs into
the large one will still not have easy access to the geckos. The azaleas would
help with humidity and help camouflage the geckos.
And the neighbours can wonder why I've caged in yet another tree. :)

Why didn't Noah just feed those two mosquitoes
to the two frogs?
