I put the RC's on potting soil (no perlite content), I think Peter's is
the brand name.
If you give them a tall cage with a lot of branches and live plants to
climb around on,
they won't spend much time on the ground. They will also eat crix from a
dish so you can avoid worrying about them eating the substrate when they
launch at a food item.
