 Jason,
Unless you have the permission from the creators of the CJ List gut load
you
can not market it. At least one of them, that I know of, would not have a
problem suing you if you did try to market it . Legal concerns is one of the
reasons that the recipe is no longer listed at the CJ website, not to mention
that one of its creators is considering marketing it himself( and he has
permission from the rest). The recipe was originally listed for the benefit
of
everyone`s animals not for someone to make a profit off of it.

Hi Guys-
I was a CJ listmember, and I am familiar with the controversy regarding the
gutload. When I said I wanted to market the gutload it was said with tongue
firmly in cheek.

But as far as that goes, anyone can sue all they like. SUCCESSFULLY suing is
a whole 'nother story. Trying to lay claim to a recipe that was openly
published on the web with no copyright info, in many variations, is difficult
at best. Also, even the slightest change in the formula makes it a NEW
recipe, and therefore not covered by the original copyright.
None of this is morally right, but thats the way it is... My girlfriend is a
clothing designer, and we've had trade show "neighbors" steal her designs and
have them in their booth at the next trade show, slightly modified.

That being said- it is a shame when people benefit from others hard work, or
when they steal something they might get anyway- if they only asked. There
are a few people on this list who have watched others get quite wealthy off
products they made themselves and weren't compensated for. It s*&ks but...

But back to the original question-
Anybody know whats in the ESU gutload?
Thanks
Jason

I'm not advocating stealing anyones recipes or products.
In the end, the herpers AND the reptiles lose.
