If you are here in the states, you might want to check out Walgreens for the 
NeoCal (liquid calcium).  It is sold in the pharmacy, but you do not need a 
prescription for it.  The down side is that it is only sold in the pint size 
(at least at my Walgreens) which costs almost $30.
FWIW, I have seen some geckos react as you described when they are sprayed 
with water that is too cold.  It's almost as if they go into a shock like 
state and then within a few minutes they return to normal.  Although I agree 
with Hilde, if your female U. phantasticus just recently laid 8 eggs, I would 
look into her calcium levels and supplement as necessary.  Please, let us 
know of the outcome.
