We use clear plastic containers to catch the day geckos. They do not seem to
consider the clear container a threat and before they know it they are
secure without damage. The little clear rectangular shortening tubs work
really good for the smaller day geckos.
After they are caught we weigh them and then reweigh the container
subtracting its weight. The adults usually they get weighed when their
enclosure is broken down for major cleanings.
