FedEx also doesn't ship reptiles legally from what I understand, nor does
UPS (unless you have an account with them, then they will ship). There's
Delta Dash, but that's 60+ for shipping. And then you have people, like
me, who are hours from any major airport (El Paso, TX and Albuquerque,NM
would be my closest large airports) and thus is a hassle to receive/ship via
Delta Dash. I have always shipped USPS and have never had any problems.
What's even better is due to my location anywhere I ship is supposedly 2
days, no matter how I ship. What's better about this is I have shipped from
here, Alamogordo, NM, to WI and PA with the packages getting to the
destination's post office within 24-26 hours. What this means is the animal
is indoors and away from the elements. Anyway, just my say in this matter.
This same discussion has taken place on quite a few of the Kingsnake.com
forums (recently on the Leopard Gecko and Gecko Forums, as well as the Corn
Snake Forum).
My 2¢ in the shipping matter,
Chris
