[Gecko] heat tape

If I house leopards in 10 gal tanks, (1 each) can I use heat tape? I thought
about using one long peice of heat tape for 4 tanks to set on. Would that
work or do I have to stick with the under tank heaters. Lots of cords.

Does anyone have pics of their setups? Still learning.
