Hi JIll,
Keep in mind many full time pros breed thousands of leopards every year.
Some individuals supply the pet store market alone. I woud not recommend
ever looking at a gecko for return investment, but as something you would
like to work with weather it loses money or gains. The leopard gecko market
is extremely volatile! Most very pretty young juveniles sell for $25-35 at
shows. There is a great deal of competition with this gecko at the
wholesale and retail end.The high end quickly become average priced in a
matter of a couple years, as these geckos are very reliable producers.
They are also very fun and attractive. I will always have them around, but
seldom breed them for the market.
