I have a spider gecko. I took him home on Friday and he looked alright. That
evening I tried to examine him for tenting but dropped him (he is so fragile
looking, I wasn't firm enough). He hit a plastic tote on the way down to the
carpet and he croaked at me. In short, his eye is cloudy and the inside of
the eye looks messy - like the pupil "spilled" out. The eye looks good on
the outside (no abrasions or holes) but it is sunken in a bit. I am not even
sure it was the fall that did it. The first day, he bounced around the tank
and may have hit the driftwood I use as a hiding place with his head.
Anyway, the real question is, will he get better? Do wounds like this ever
heal? I will be taking him to the vet this week, I hope, but the anxiety is
killing me. He still hasn't eaten but I don't expect it after 3 days. I just
hope the fall hasn't stressed him enough that he won't eat. He has also
stopped "bouncing" but he does move around from the hot spot (and I mean HOT
~100+) to the cool.

Thanks,
Jupiter

PS I just know someone is going to tell me "you should have gone to the vet
right away!". If only they were open on Sundays.
