In short, his eye is cloudy and the inside of

Hmmm......can't call that one. Check it with a flashlight, and see if the
pupil dilates. I have a rat snake that lost sight in his eye after getting
stuck in a soda can (in the wild). He looked OK at first, but after about a
week, the pupil stopped dilating. We decided that removing the eye would be
too much stress, and probably unnecessary. Good luck with him.
