Since you asked, I don't know how finely it is ground but if it is not the 
size of fine sand I would not use it with juvenile leopard geckos from fear 
of impaction.  Also, to further demonstrate my ignorance, is it the shell or 
the meat?  I'm going to assume it's the shell.  I wouldn't want to be forced 
to eat walnut shells... they would go right through the digestive system 
undigested.  I don't think these are very good things, although you have had 
good results.  I hope I don't get myself in trouble but you might want to 
switch to calcareous fine sand just on principle. :)
