I also use ground walnut shells for my leos without any problems. I don't
put them on it however until they are at least 6 months. I have never seen
any of them eat it. If they do get a peice in their mouth when catching
crix, they usually shake it off.
I also don't buy the walnut shells made for reptiles which cost twice as
much, I buy the shells in the bird section, which are also a little larger
and cheaper.
