Hi-
I use "Desert Blend" with my adult leos. Its ok.
For the longest time I used ultra fine aquarium sand and I really liked it. I
used it with juvies and adults and had no impaction problems.
Well fed geckos should not eat their substrate. I feel too, that most animals
can expel what little substrate they may ingest when eating a food item. But
be careful....Leopards do suffer from impaction and it is a risk regardless
of which substrate you use.
