Thanks for the replies. At the moment all I have access to are crickets and meal worms.(45 min drive just to get worms) They were not shipped but had a very bumpy 2 hour drive to get here. Good news though they did drink tonight, and the seller got back to me. He said he free ranged the crickets and hand fed the meal worms. I have been taking crickets out when lights come on in morning, does any one suggest against this?                                                                                                            Thanks Sean

Sean,
I too am a newbie. I may not be able to speak from an expert level, but it might make you feel better to know that I have been dealing with this same thing for almost 2 weeks. I have had several of the experts on this list as well as kingsnake.com tell me not to worry. And just last night one of the three leos I have ate 3 crix and 2 mealworms. The other two haven't yet but I am hopeful for tonight.
The weird thing is, the one that did eat last night, wouldn't even acknowledge the crix the night before, and I would hold it in front of his mouth. So, 3 days is still nothing to worry about. They have that fat tale, and I think it supplies them well with food.
Did you have them shipped? I did and I was told that is part of the reason they were so stressed out. Hope this makes you feel better.

Subject: [Gecko] newbie

Hi I am new to the list. I just got my first leopard gecko's. A pair of patternless that I think are beautiful. I bought them 3 days ago and they still have not eaten. They are 7 & 8 months old and look to be very healthy. My cage set-up consists of a 20 gal tank, calci-sand, humid box, hide box, small dish of calcium, small dish of water replaced every day.My lights are on from 7 to 7 and I try to feed at 8.Under the light my temp is 90 and in the low 80's at the other end. At night it reaches a low of 75. I have not been able to get in touch with the seller to find out what time he normally fed at, and if he bowl fed or free ranged. I have kept chams and an iguana for the last 5 years so am not new to reptiles.I have done much research before the purchase but can't recall anything on not eating. When should I start to really worry and does anyone recommend something like force feeding vita life after a certain time. I realize they are probably still a little stressed from the move but I can't help worry a little. Any help would be appreciated, and if anyone can see anything wrong with my set-up please suggest alternatives.                                                            Thanks Sean
