Just a little something about screen blocking light . Aluminum or
copper screen made with the same size wire will both block the exact
same amount of light ! An aluminum screen with a 16 16 mesh or a
copper screen 16 16 grid are the exact same as far as the amount of
light passing through it. As long as the guage ids the same in both. I
agree copper will last for years .. And at $4.00 per square foot it
should . Aluminum will last for 10+ years . Unless you are in a area
that has a high amount of acid rain or you live next to a freeway and
your set up is going to be bombarded with automobile exhaust .
