Hi Tobey,

I'm sure you did not mean to torture your little friend, but try putting some saline 
solution in your own eyes and that will explain that. Neosporin  makes an eye 
antiobiotic ointment that works well with geckos, you should be
able to get it from any vet.

Re: Robin's questions:

The eye treatment sounds good (see above). A leopard that has been sick or not feeling 
well may do the squinty eyes routine, or the eye may also be infected. If the 
condition does not improve in a few days try treating that eye
as well. If the appetite is good that is a great sign.

You should keep sick gex off ingestible substates, paper towels only until you are 
sure the gecko is out of the woods. As a breeder I recommend leopards not be kept on 
ingestible substrates at all, including those claimed to be
"safe" from the manufacturer. My philosophy here is it is better to err on the safe 
side than roll the dice with your leopard in the risky health situation you put them 
in on ingestible substrates.
