I don't know a whole lot about geckos, because I am still learning, but I
would recommend using only paper towels as a substrate while treating your
leo to gel or lotion antibiotics... specifically for the reason you
stated... not wanting anything to get into the cream and into the eye! It
would just aggravate the problems!
