I really wouldn't use dog food (or cat food). While it's composition is
known, it is developed for mammal carnivores. I would recommend you
investigate Nutrition Support Services (http://www.HerpNutrition.com/).
The owner (Dr. Susan Donoghue) is a vet/nutritionist who developed her
products with feeding trials over the last 10 years. She has insect
dusts, but she also has insect diets. She lists many different herps,
but unfortunately geckos are not listed. Send her a note and ask which
diet and/or dusts to use. She is very responsive. BTW... I know she used
Phelsuma in her trials. I'm not sure about leos.
