I've been breeding these guys for 3 years now, but I've never really asked
other breeders what the colors or patterns their babies are upon hatching and
in the months to follow. When do you all note adult coloration or pattern
beginning to develop? In my cases, a clutch of 2 eggs yields one duller
colored baby (tan or yellow) and more vivid baby, exhibiting adult colors and
patterns (GOLD spots, not yellow, red bars, deep blue eyelids, etc.) I house
hatclings in pairs (clutchmates) until aggresion is noticed (about 1 month),
and the vivid baby is normally the dominate one.
Just want to know what others have found.
Regards,
Daniel
