They will compete with the geckos for crickets and also be interested in small
geckos as a snack, especially hatchlings of small gex like Phelsuma. I just
finished vacuuming a bunch of webs and spiders up. I put them outside if I can,
but not today. Found a pair of P. klemmeri deceased with a large black window in
their set-up. I am not pleased!
I don't think spiders are snacks often enough, mostly predators. One time I did
see one of my P. barbouri eat a black widow after I removed a wood hide from
their set-up.
