Thanks Magnus,

I was there since the first meeting back in 1992, but due to my move to Canada, not able to go the past two years. I definitely go again next year and hope many more from this side of the ocean will join. It is worth the trip! I usually used to drive about 8-9 hours and it is only a six hour flight.

Subject: [Gecko] German meeting

Hi all,

A short summary from yearly meeting with Intressengruppe Phelsuma in Gttingen(Germany).

As allways was this years meeting a great one.During the two days you get the time to sit down
and discuss Phelsuma with other freaks. The talks was very interesting and different temas made
it even moore interesting. There were a some talks refering to traveling and looking for Phelsuma
from Maruritius,Reunion and of course Madagascar. Some was about keeping and breeding different
species as P.inexpectata.
One that I found very interesting was a spech about the relationships between Phelsuma species. This was
done totaly with DNA as conecting factor. Two things that was really surprising was that P.guim.rosagularis
was not closest to P.guim.guimbeaui but to P.cepediana and the most surprising though was the close relationship
between P.anamanensis and P.breviceps.

Of course lots of Phelsumas was for sale.Among the species I could see were.P.hielscheri,P.guim.guimbeaui,
P.inexpectata,P.quad.lepida,P.lineata subsp.,P.abb.sumptio,P.abb.checkei,P.nigristriata,P.astriata astriata,
P.astriata semicarinata and a few moore.ALL OF COURS CAPTIVE BREED!!!!
