No. No heat unless it's colder than 70-72F during the day.

I find they do best with real plants, they help by using moisture 
accumulated in the
substrate as well. I don't know if the geckos care, although babies definitely
benefit from live plants. Bromeliads are good, they provide humid 
resting places
and water reservoirs.
