I'd say live plants are a definite plus, but can sometimes require more than the geckos to care for if not under perfect conditions. Bromeliads are ok. I don't like them because of the edges they have and knowing that phantasticus are hard lungers. If not that, the awful smell when crickets get trapped and rot in that 'water reservoir' is enough to make me count them out.
