Hi,

I do not know where Tsingy du Bemaraha is but Magnus is correct about the variation in P.m.kochi. Except for the hybrid I formaly described there are simular forms found south of the normal P.m.kochi form, an area not connected with the P.m.grandis populations at all?!

It could of course be a cross, but still some P.mads also comes in different shapes. For instance you have two collorforms from P.mad.kochi. The most common is the olivegreen type with rust coloured spots and then you have one from an area ( Tsingy du Bemaraha) that is much brighter green with red spots(a bit P.m.grandis like). Still there are a few easy seen differenses between the subs.
