they will live in pairs I have 8.8.16 Phelsuma vnigra vnigra.Adults are all in pairs, and I will try trio this spring, with a couple of sub adults in a large enclouser to see if that will work, never males together.As to the clolour differences there is much debate about that but I found the darker ones have no issuses mating infact two all green with no clear no stripe had some offspring that are dark with clear delineation from belly to back vai darker side stripe.
