Popular?? I don't know. Generally T8 put out more lumens per watt used than the T12. The newer T5 are even more efficient.
When I use the term "full spectrum" I use the lighting industry's definition of the word which means the bulbs are not intended to produce UV (invisible light), rather "full spectrum" means that the bulb puts out a full range of visible light. Color Rendering Index rates the "full spectrum" quality.
