Hello,
I have a female
Rhacodactylus auriculatus that has been egg bound for almost six weeks, and I am
afraid that she is not going to make it. I separated her from the male a
few weeks ago in hopes that she would pass the eggs, but that has not
helped. She has plenty of suitable egg-laying sites and still accepts
small amounts of baby food ( she stopped eating crickets a few weeks ago).
I liberally mist the cage every evening, slightly increased the ambient
temperature in the enclosure, and I have given her many doses of Oxytocin
and drops of Neocalglucon. I am aware that egg bind ing is relatively
common with this species, but there has to be something else I
can do. Any ideas?
