Well I took her to the vet, and now I feel much better. Turns out she
wasn't shedding because of some stressor (which we all knew) and probably
was just from moving back to St. Louis. He said that her shed, when not
removed within 36 hours, will reattach to the new skin. This happened on
her head. So when I pulled off her skin on her head and eyelids, it was
attached to the new skin and actually took off her outer eye membrane. That
made me feel like major CRAP!!! I felt so bad for her. This is why her
eyes were matted, they were raw underneath. The good news is that she can
regrow them YEAH!!! I was instructed to put Gentocin in her eye socket
(difficult task) and give her an .02 CCs of an oral medicine which I forgot
what it does, I think an antibiotic. But he thinks she won't go blind and
will all better in a week or two. I am so relieved. Thank you very much
for all the helped me through this. I appreciate it greatly.
