Hi-
Each year I experience the same problems. My guimbeaui males are especially
rough, tearing bite sized patches off the females. In the worst cases I have
removed the male. Some females, especially robust guimbeaui, are well suited
to take the rough handling. Some will be wounded once each year, and live
peacefully all the rest of the time.
Relative size is important. The female can't be much smaller than the male.
Though sometimes a well grown female will end the fighting by doleing out a
little punishment herself. And female on female aggression is a possibility
too.

You have to use your eyes to tell you if she is so stressed that she has to
be isolated. Its better to be safe and separate, because if she proves NOT
able to handle the stress she will die.
Some people say any bite below the shoulder is a violent bite and not a
mating bite. My guimbeaui have not heard this it seems.
I have been able to keep my pairs together, although once I had a male so
mean I had to keep him as a bachelor, and when I lent him to another breeder
he promptly killed his new mate.
Right now I am maintaining a 14 hour daylight period. The season where YOU
are is what affects breeding, they are not on a Madagascar body clock or
something.
I use two supplements for dusting food and one I mix with the babyfood. I use
Herptevite mixed with calcium powder for the crickets and I use a GNC product
called "Kidsplex" for the babyfood.

As for the aggression, plant the tanks more densely and add more hide tubes.
    Multiple basking spots help too.
And of course if you had a room sized enclosure I'm sure aggression would
drop radically.
I have found Ornata are just as aggressive, and I have not seen any
aggression at all in klemmeri.
Hope this helps-
Jason
