One of my buddies just recently took his leo gecko to the vet for a possible egg binding problem. And the vet confirmed that the leo had 4 huge eggs inside of her! He gave her oxytocin shots, to get her to start laying her eggs, and each day she laid one huge one after another. Warm soaks in water also helped alot.

Hi All,

I didn't see mention of how long this gecko has been exhibiting these symptoms I would think that if there are multiple eggs forming some of them are probably adhered to the oviduct.  Unfortunately nothing but surgery is going to remedy that.  I was also thinking it might be large deposits of urates although I would lean towards that more if the animal was a snake and not a gecko.
Please keep us posted as to what the diagnosis of this problem is, it's very curiuos that's for sure!
