Just to add to this conversation, I have a couple of 13 year old leopard
geckos. I didn't breed them until they were about 6 or later. I retired them
this year, even though last year I got 6+ clutches from each female. Both
geckos are still doing quite well, and egg binding was never an issue at
all.
