Thank you for the hind, John. But I do already  have this article. Sadly the text gives additional evidence that we are still far from knowing how to continuously breed these two species in captivity, but it gives some interesting observations on intraspecific agressivity. Unfortunately these do not very much match my personal experience.

Best regards

Ingo

Hi Ingo
I'm sure you are already aware but if not there is a major article on Gekko
ulikovskii and Gekko grossmanni in the current issue of the German journal
Sauria:-

Kreuzer, M. & W. Grossmann. 2003. Beobachtungen an Gekko ulikovskii
Darewski & Orlov, 1994 und Gekko grossmanni Gunther, 1994 im Terrarium.
Sauria, Berlin, 2003, 25(3): 3-11

Good luck with the book. I look forward to seeing it.

Best wishes,

John

Hi,

I am (quite) new to this list, and hence I may first shortly introduce
myself before I ask for your help and cooperation.
My name is Ingo Kober, I am 38 years old, married, father of  a boy (5)
and a girl (2).
I am german (hence I  apologize for my english) and live close to
Heidelberg/Germany.
I am a molecular biologis by training and I am working in Drug Discovery
at a  small biotech.
I am a herper from early childhood on and I mainly concentrate on
husbandry of  keeping and breeding  diverse lizards (meaning all sauria).
Maybe some of you now me from the Kingsnake.com Forums, where I post as
Ingo.
And now to my question:
Currently I am writing a book on husbandry and breeding of Tokay geckos
and related species of the genus Gekko.
For this book I still collect first hand experiences and I also still
need some Pics.
So if anybody is willing to share his/her experiences on geckos of this
genus, heres what I need most:
Reports about experiences with successful breeding (!) of Gekko
ulikovskii, Gekko grossmanni; Gekko smithii; Gekko siamensis; Gekko
monarchus; Gekko petricolus and about  long time husbandry of Gekko
smithii; Gekko siamensis  and Gekko monarchus.
Good colour slides of  adult G. ulikovskii females, as well as of adults
of both sexes of G. smithii and G. monarchus. Good slides of hatchlings
of G. siamensis, G. smithii, G. ulikovskii. G. grossmanni and G.

petricolus

I also still need colour slides of  natural habitats of all the species
mentioned above.

I do have an editor for the book (in fact I am writing it on demand) and
I do have personal experiences with five species of the genus. But of
course I am happy about any additional input. Sadly this project is
nothing to earn much money with and hence I am not able to pay more than
your expenses for any material. But of course any help will be
personally acknowledged for in the book.

Looking forward to your responses

Ingo
