That is correct. Australia does not permit the export of its fauna generally- including reptiles & amphibians. On the flip side,we do not allow the import at all of any exotic- ie non-Australian, herps either. You may want to keep Phyllurus, I'd like some Phelsuma, Uroplatus & Rhacodactylus! Luckily we do have some fantastic Australian geckos- I keep Nephurus [Underwoodisaurus] milii, Phyllurus platurus, Diplodactylus vittatus, Diplodactylus ciliaris, Diplodactylus taenicauda and Heteronotia binoei at present.

I think there may be somePhyllurus in the USA, but not many. Australian stuff is "not supposed to be exported" even though we have a bunch of bearded dragons and blue tongue skinks here. Perhaps CB Phyllurus could reach that kind of status here if they are not endangered and were suitable captives.
