that's interesting, i never thought of it that way.  You have easy access to
a lot of cool herps though.  Strophurus and diplodactylus especially.  While
we're on the topic of phyllurus, i've often read that they are very common
among humanized areas ie. the suburbs.  If that's true, then they are pretty
common, aren't they?  what about other herps like strophurus, diplodactylus,
bearded dragons, etc?
