Ingo, you should definitely correspond with Hilde about her experiences with these geckos. Their social and parental behaviour are far more complex than tokays'. I would love to have a colony of these animals, except for their tokay-like tendency to shout "GECK" in the night -- my husband is a light sleeper! I don't know if you have been corresponding with Jon Boone, who has maintained and bred many Gekko spp., but if you haven't, you ought to. A few years ago I asked for information on the social and parental behaviour of various Gekko spp, and he posted some good info to the list. Perhaps you can find it in the archives. Unfortunately for me, complex behaviour seems to be strongly correlated with loud nocturnal vocalization in this genus. _______________________________________________ Global Gecko Association http://www.gekkota.com Classifieds http://www.gekkota.com/cgi-gekkota/classifieds.cgi gecko mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.gekkota.com/mailman/listinfo/gecko
