The first time was in 1995, before I knew how to care for them, so I spent a couple of years researching (which itself wasn't easy back before the internet) to be ready for the next ones I might see. I got mine in 97, and I've seen them maybe twice since. Apparently there are some around but they don't make it to stores. I've never been able to locate anyone who's got them, other than the people who bought them from me. By now there should be a fair number around, which makes me wonder if they aren't kept properly to keep them from breeding.
