>I bred them for a few years, interesting little critters, very tough. I kept them dry with a light misting in the evening. >A tall cage with a 10w halogen for a basking site worked fine. daytime temperature was probably 78-84, a bit warmer >directly under the light. Cooler nights didn't bother them. They laid clutches of 2 eggs starting in November/December. >About 4-5 clutches seemed normal. Eggs are buried and hard shelled.
Ah, perfect...this is pretty much how I'm keeping them...thanks so much Neil! >There is some aggession during the breeding season, patches of missing skin and lost tail tips were no unusual. A "harem" >arrangement works well. Excellent, my new group consists of 1.3 P.S. They bite! Holy smokes you're not kidding! I wasn't aware of this when I nonchalantly reached in to grab the little bulldog of a male who immediately grabbed me right on the soft, sensitive area just under my fingernails. AND WOULDN"T LET GO. I'm cringing as I type this and reminisce. Little bugger held on for what seemed like an eternity even when given the option to run off into the cover of his enclosure, I swear he's still smiling at me...they pack a wallop for such little things lol. Thanks again Neil.
