Do your geckos prefer Ivory liquid, Palmolive, or an antibacterial liquid? (Seriously.) Then do you find yourself rinsing the gecko after "collecting" the mites with a dry q-tip?

I wouldn't think it matters. I do wash off the area once the mite is removed, but try to get soap only on the mite and wipe it off with the dry end of the cotton swab. Then a quick wipe with a wet swab with clean water.

Actually, Lyle, I used a wet q-tip moistened with bar soap when overnight at a show near Portland and my newly purchased flyer seemed to have mites everywhere (~28). That did the trick. You ought to see him today! His tail is exquisite!!!

Nice......not an easy task! They love to bite.

(Seems like you guys are in the midst of a deep freeze.) Am awaiting a weather opening for posting to your neck of the woods ;-}
