As I am typing this the Geico Gecko is doing the robot on tv! ;) I think
Lyle is right on the $ here. I always suggest folks put the geckos in a
quiet place. Some of us here also have Blue Tongued skinks... the
interaction between them and dogs is hilarious. The skinks are so
interested in the dogs you'd think they were separated at birth!

Hi Sarah,
Some pets are very predatory and will pester prey animals and stress
them. Yes, stress can cause them to not eat and often die.
Cats can be persistant. Dogs can be either way. Its more up to you.
I have had two dogs over the years and neither have shown any interest
in my geckos. My geckos are securely caged and the dog has been shown
the animals over the years. Their initial curiosity was all they have
ever has shown.
It would of course depend on the dog, the geckos, how accessible cages
were, and how you taught the dog.
In my last house I did have two gecko rooms....with doors. No dogs,
kids or snakes.
This house I have gecko rooms with doors, and geckos in my office with
full access. Kids know, dog knows...all do well.

Hello,
I was wondering if anybody knew whether or not I would be able to
have a dog
around my gecko. I was told by the people at the pet store, that a dog
could not come over and visit or else my gecko would die. It sounds
a bit
odd to me, so I was hoping that someone could tell me if that would
actually
happen or not. We would someday like to have our own dog, and it
would be
great to know the effect that would have on the gecko.
Thanks a lot,
Sarah
