Works fine for you under valgrind, or just running it? I just built 1.3.0 and still get the error from valgrind. If running normally, it tends not to die.. but may do horrible memory-corrupting things later on. I'm fairly sure this didn't use to happen, as I've played with this code under valgrind before.
