Maybe, because accel key configuration is not exactly jumping in the docs? Currently, gschem does not honor the standard gtk way to do key- accels on the fly (type the desired key while the mouse cursor is in the menu). An intuitive default UI is a goodthing(tm). In this case, because of the presence of pcb a consistent undo is intuitive.
