Nah, don't worry too much about it. First, I tend to use older boxen
since they expose stuff like this. I'm currently running SuSE 9.3.
ISTR the crashes having to do with DBUS problems, probably because the
implementation is out of date, or is misconfigured (my fault).

Second, I don't think I ever filed a bug report with you. Therefore,
you needn't apologize.

I guess I should grab the latest and give it another spin & get you
some bug info......

Very smart.

True. I agree that we should do more to improve the user experience.
Hence my interest in pushing a project manager.

I've watched the user community over at Kicad grow rapidly over the
last 1 1/2 years. Bully for them. The lessons to be drawn from
that:

* Operation on Windoze expands your audience by about 10x.

* It also enlarges the number of totally clueless fools who clog up
your e-mail list. But not by 10x, rather by only 2 or 3x.

* I often see Kicad users ask for features like gEDA has. That means
that gEDA is the leader. However, we can't be complacent, since their
community is now much larger than ours.

* We should stick to our knitting: gEDA should remain a collection
of power tools which users can adapt into any workflow they want.
Kicad exists for the rank newbie. Our attraction is power,
flexibility, and scalability. Hopefully......

Stuart
